Gooney Bird, a second grader known for her eccentric manner of dress, loves telling “absolutely true” but fantastic stories that keep her classmates guessing. The books inspire Graland students to write their own stories using clever new vocabulary. To celebrate their fictional hero, tutus, tie dye and pajamas with cowboy boots were the uniform of the day!
