Hidden Mosaics: Grade 4 Students’ Tribute to Invader’s Public Art

This month, our Grade 4 students took part in a fun and creative art project inspired by the anonymous French artist “Invader.” Known for creating pixelated mosaics based on the “Space Invader” video game from the 90s, Invader hides his colorful works in cities around the world, and art enthusiasts use an app to locate and track them. Through this project, our students paid homage to Invader’s unique style, embracing the playful and public nature of his work.
During this project, students created their own mosaics using perler beads, then hid them around campus, transforming their artwork into a scavenger hunt for the whole school community. Many at Graland, from students to teachers, participated in searching for the hidden mosaics, enjoying the adventure of discovering these creative treasures around the school.

This activity was a great example of how art can bring people together in unexpected and enjoyable ways. We can't wait to see what other creative projects the Grade 4 students have in store for the rest of the year!
