Veterans Day Reflection and Service In Grade 6

This Veterans Day, our Grade 6 students participated in a meaningful day of learning and service. Mr. Justin Singleton, a Navy veteran and husband of Grade 6 teacher Mrs. Katie Singleton, shared his military experiences with the students. They also heard from Charlene Haskett, our all-school support teacher, who discussed her own military service as a woman of color.
In addition to these presentations, students created holiday cards for active duty military and veterans, expressing their gratitude and support. They also decorated bags that will be filled with essential items for veterans experiencing homelessness.

Great job, Grade 6, for showing agency and empathy in honoring our veterans!
