This April, Graland’s Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) joined schools across the country in recognizing the Week of the Young Child—an annual celebration of early learning, young children, and the educators who support them. Throughout the week, ECLC students participated in special activities designed to spark creativity, curiosity, and connection.
The celebration began on Monday with a festive parade around campus, cheered on by teachers, peers, and families. On Tuesday, students enjoyed a bubble party on Pressier Field, followed by the first session of a Clyfford Still Museum program. In their classrooms, ECLC students had the opportunity to examine artwork up close and learn about color mixing. Wednesday brought a cozy Pajama Day with snacks and a classroom movie, while Thursday continued the museum experience with students painting on mini canvases—applying the ideas they had explored earlier in the week. The week wrapped up on Friday with Beach Day, which included a fun-filled afternoon of sunshine, popsicles, and water play.
Thank you to the ECLC Team for making this week such a joyful and memorable celebration of early childhood at Graland.
